Hi, could answer my question?? I'm pretty overweight and I'm taking laxatives every day, not to control my weight, but to help my digestive system (I deal with constipation on a daily basis if I don't take the pills.) I've been losing weight and eating better and I really want to quit the pills, but I feel if I do I will be constantly constipated. Can you help me at all? I'm unable to contact a specialist and I'm concerned for my health. I've been taking the pills for about a year ://

Hi there!

I am no where near a specialist…I’m just a girl with a blog!

However, I can offer a few logical tips for someone in your predicament!

1)  Take a probiotic supplement daily to help with digestive health
2)  Eat foods with fiber, such as corn, beans, broccoli, whole grains, and oatmeal.  There is a wealth of information out there in regards to getting enough fiber in your diet.

If you feel healthy enough digestively where you think you can begin to go for a day or two without taking the laxatives, I don’t see the harm in it if you’re making it a point to incorporate enough fiber in your diet along with a probiotic supplement.  Like I said before, though, I am not a specialist!

I wish you the best of health, Anon! ♥
